Sandy Hook Bars

There is only one bar in Gateway National Park. The area, which encompasses the park, is more typically referred to as Sandy Hook.

In the vicinity of Sandy Hook are the towns of Highlands, Sea Bright, Atlantic Highlands, and Rumson, where there are a host of bars from which to choose.

The day tripping Sandy Hook summer crowds frequent the inlet and riverfront bars, many of which have outside dining and dock space for their boating guests.

In Sea Bright the list is extensive.

Most establishments are either on the water or near enough to insure a great view of either the ocean or river.

The town of Highlands near Sandy Hook offers bars with daytime views of New York City as well as an active nightlife.

Most of the Sandy Hook Bars offer live music performed by popular local bands, pleasant exotic cocktails as well as menus filled with appetizing snacks, sandwiches and salads.

Most bands don't start their first set until after 10PM.
